How do I calculate a sale price?
Sale price = original × (1 − discount ÷ 100). A $80 item at 25% off is $60, and you save $20.
How do I find the original price from a sale?
Original = sale ÷ (1 − discount ÷ 100). If something is $60 after 25% off, the original was $80.
Does this include sales tax?
No. It only applies the discount. Add tax afterwards if you need an out-the-door total.
